Survey Design

When you need to survey to improve managerial or organizational performance, first examine your goal, objectives and outcome.  Development should be focused on three basic questions:

  1. What do you need to learn? (Goal)

  2. How will the results of the survey be used? (Objectives)

  3. Why? (Outcome)

After answering these questions, determine the survey content.  The survey questions should be relevant to the needs of both the respondents and the survey sponsor.  The design needs to match the audience's expectations (management/employees) in order so that both support it.  Finally, will the results of your survey yield measurable action planning outcomes?

The process you use is as important as the tools used.  For that reason, we will gladly work with you to apply our 25 years experience to insure that you develop the most effective survey possible.
